I'm by no means new to LJ. I've been around here for years, but I'm starting again because I have too much going on in my life and I need some anonymity.
My new journal will be a way to chart my many downs and my ups. There's too much going on in my life right now and I'd really like to share my experiences with others. I will, of course, be more than willing to hear about anything and everything going on with your life. I'd like to share my thoughts and wisdom with you, if you'll share yours with me.
So I'm 21, female, from Scotland, UK. Currently a student of philosophy and English literature. I'm in my last year, and I'm scared about going into the real world. I'd love to be a published author, and it's something I'm seriously working towards.
I enjoy reading, writing, many kinds of music (including Muse, Patrick Wolf, Stereophonics, Voxtrot to name but a few). I love owls and anything with an owl on will be an instant win with me. I love films too. Edward Scissorhands is my favourite, I love Miyazaki too. I like films that think or films with beautiful stories. Book wise I'll read anything if it's good: Thomas Hardy, The Secret History, Brave New World. I like to document the books I read because I read a lot.
I have a large crazy family, who are always keeping occupied with things to think or do.
I have a boyfriend I've been with nearly two and a half years - there are the rough patches and the great times and I'll probably write about both.
I'm struggling with BDD and although I don't want that to be the focus of my journal (because I try to be as optimistic with life as I can), it will come up from time to time.
So, if you're interested in reading about how I get into the real world, about my journey into the writing world and you want to read about my relationships with my friends and family then feel free to add away.
I look foward to reading you. x
