Posted here before, but I bore easily and need new friends. I will tell you a bit about myself, but I'm more interested in finding interesting additions to my friends page - clever, funny people with something to say other than what they did at work/school and what they had for dinner today... and I sure as fuck don't care what you wore to the lame party you went to at the weekend or how drunk you got - I couldn't care less! I don't give a fuck about your Twitter account, or your Facebook page, I don't care if you've fancied that boy/girl forever, I don't care if you're pet hamster is cute, or even if it died - get a new one, one hamster is much the same as another.
(I'm not a hamster hater, just a stupid, shallow person hater)
I like funny. I have a good sense of humour (jesus, that sounds like a lonely hearts ad) and find the usual things funny - cancer victims, 9/11, fat people, you know the drill. TV fuckin' sucks, celebrity appreciation is disgsting... whiny, childish music fuckin' blows - Linkin Park, MCR (Black Parade, or whatever its called, is one of the worst songs I've ever heard), Green Day... all bands that make me physically sick!
A minimum requirement for friendship, as far as I'm concerned, is that you have read several books in the course of your lifetime - no anti-intellectualism:
With that in mind I'd have to say NO empty-headed teenagers, NO compliment or comment whores, NO people with eating disorders (at least, that is, if you talk about them all the time - not interested). I am a depressive, and occasionally talk about it, but if you aren't into reading all that shit I can always put you in a different group.
Not sure what else to put... this calls for bullet points I think:
- I love (and very often hate) movies - whatever it is I've probably seen it. Favourite film: Apocalypse Now/Good Will Hunting (more for the soundtrack than the content).
- Music - My favourite bands/artists are Queens of the Stone Age, Elliott Smith Rage against the Machine and (later) Tool.
- TV - 24, that's all
- Authors - China Mievelle (but I don't like fantasy), Iain M. Banks (but I don't like sci-fi), Dostoevsky, Huxley, and I also have a soft spot for Terry Pratchett
- I like politics, philosophy and sociology, but I'm very much a noob in almost every respect.
Whatever. I know that doesn't tell you very much but who cares... add me and you'll find out more, no doubt, but I also want messenger adds - same criteria applies.
Fuck it - anyone can add me, this isn't N. Korea, just don't expect me to become engaged in meaningless small talk, ok?
