Why yes, I have posted here before, of that I'm certain. However, I have changed journals, and am seeking new friends! I will put the disclaimer in that I'm not likely to comment to your journal entries if I can't think of anything to say, but I always read. Also, as with anyone, if you comment in my journal, I will be more inclined to comment in yours.
Anyway, my name is Lolita (aka Lola, or Lollie). I'm 22 years old, and I live in Australia (although I would love to go and live in Europe, even if only for a little while!) I'm a complete stress-head, but once I've vented it in a journal entry, usually all is good again. I have a strong spiritual conviction that I will talk about in my journal if ever I'm in the mood to. It's not like I expect any of you to agree with me, it's just so you're warned. I think life would be boring if we all believed the same thing anyway.
Journals are a place for expression. Mine is home to my thoughts, I guess it's not just a "blog". It's my sanctuary, I guess.
I love my family, but they drive me mad on a fairly frequent basis. I love my friends - they're the family I got to choose, and I couldn't live without them.
I'm currently a casual relief classroom assistant at an autistic school, but I want to go to uni one day soon and study Graphic Design. I enjoy taking photos, sewing, knitting, making beaded jewelry and drawing. I also read and write a lot. I play the clarinet and started learning piano, it got forgotten about though, but it's another thing I would like to do. Oh, I also sing when bullied into it. Publicly anyway, I always sing when I'm by myself.
I like writing lists, and setting myself ridiculous goals that I'll never achieve.
All in all, I think I'm just pretty ridiculous.
I love music.
Nightwish, Within Temptation, Evanescence, Malice Mizer, My Chemical Romance, Opeth, Dream Theater, Apocalyptica, Lacuna Coil, Regina Spektor, Paramore, Linkin Park, The Corrs, Butterfly Effect, Taxiride, The Brilliant Green, L'Arc~en~Ciel
They're some of my favourites.
I don't really watch a great deal of television or movies... I do seem to have an interest in crime and mystery television though. Particularly if they're British. I love Midsomer Murders. As far as movies go, I'm a hopeless romantic, and I also love fantasy. I'm also a sucker for cute anime movies and shows. My favourites are adaptions of the works by CLAMP.
I am one of those sad people who have read the Twilight series and found themselves wasting a portion of their life obsessing over Edward Cullen, but I've mostly been cured of that unhealthy disease now. I do enjoy reading Twilight though when I'm in the mood to read but can't be stuffed focusing on anything that actually might have a deep meaning (with any sort of logic). Or anything that uses proper English grammar etc. Grammar certainly isn't my strength when writing, but it kills me when I'm reading a novel.
I've also read the Harry Potter series. My favourite books in the series are Prisoner of Azkaban, Goblet of Fire, and Order of the Phoenix. My least favourite book in the series was Half-Blood Prince, yet oddly, I adored the movie. I have always from day one, shipped Harry with Hermione, and I don't care if you think I'm delusional! My favourite characters are Draco Malfoy, Hermione Granger, and Bellatrix Lestrange.
I'm currently enjoying reading some Jane Austen though. I'm reading Mansfield Park, and I've already read Pride and Prejudice.
I hope I haven't rambled senselessly too much. If you want to add me back, please leave me a comment either here or at my friends only post in my journal. It helps if we have things in common ;)
