I am Ingvild, 21 years old from Norway, and I'd love some new friends!
I study industrial chemistry, I'm in the second year, but I'm planning to go on leave next year. In the mean time I hope to study some French (and maybe statistics on the side). I love chemistry, though, it's just so fun. But, I need a change.
So, I live in a uni town in Norway, in a teeny tiny flat, and in my spare time I like hanging out with my friends and my brother+SIL, and working out. I like coffee, eating, having the occasional glass (or bottle) of wine whilst dancing awkwardly to 90s pop or Whatever the Kids Listen to These Days. I love board games and every Tuesday I go to a pub quiz. I take some time to warm up to new people, but when I finally do I'm quite fun (I hope)!
I like running and I especially like to obsess over my fitness (or lack thereof, more likely) so I'll write about that. My heart rate, pace and distance are things I find extremely interesting and engaging. I'm currently working on getting faster, so yeah. Much obsession.
I also love knitting. I'll post pictures of my knitting when I finish something. But don't worry, I'm pretty good at it and I have a decent camera, and I only knit nice things! I personally love seeing pictures of people's creatings. Crafting is fun! :)
Other than that, I mostly write about my life on a day-to-day basis. I'm trying to get better at updating more frequently, but it's easy to just fall out of it! That said, I am on livejournal every day, spying ur journal. And commenting too. Yeah!
And I'm not sure how relevant this is, but here are some favourites ;)
Music: Mew, Belle and Sebastian, Air, Susanne Sundfør, Regina Spektor, Jethro Tull, Sigur Rós, Pink Floyd, Rufus Wainwright, Jeff Buckley, Nick Drake and MANY MORE.
Books: Harry Potter, White Teeth (Zadie Smith), Lord of the Rings, most of the John Irving books that I've read
TV: Big Bang Theory, How I met your mother, House, The Office UK, Twin Peaks, Monty Python's Flying Circus, the BBC adaption of Pride and Prejudice har har
Random activities: doodling in lecture (right now my favourite is really fat dragons with tiny wings, and yet they manage to fly!), drinking a double latte every Saturday, baking brownies, noticing the mittens on every person I see on the street (mittens are the first thing I notice in a person, actually. I love mittens), practicing braiding my hair.
And here's a picture of me. And mittens.
