*My biggest passion is music. It's my biggest creative outlet and it feeds my soul. I've been singing since I can remember. It was once going to be my major, but I later decided to keep it as a hobby, but it's still a huge part of my life. I can play a little violin and piano, also. And I listen to basically all kinds of music, minus hardcore metal/rap. Some of my favorite artists are Josh Groban, Celtic Woman, Lady Gaga, Nickelback, Rascal Flatts, Sara Evans, Kate Voegele, old school Mariah Carey, Journey, and Steve Carlson. And the Glee Cast, if they count, lol. I also love musicals, Disney songs, and movie soundtracks.
*Other interests/hobbies are photography, psychology, writing, reading, traveling, philosophy, astronomy, and scrapbooking.
*Favorite TV shows include Supernatural, Glee, Queer as Folk, Law and Order:SVU, Dawson's Creek, Friends, Gilmore Girls, Everwood, Boy Meets World, and early seasons of Grey's Anatomy and One Tree Hill.
*I love the Lord of the Rings (books and movies), but strongly dislike Harry Potter and HATE vampires of all varieties.
*I don't read a *lot* of books, but when I do, I generally go for sci-fi/fantasy or romances (anything by Nicholas Sparks), or the occasional inspirational/uplifting story.
*I can be a bit of a grammar snob at times. I'm not into only using net-speak, although I do use it sometimes. But I like to read entries and comments that use proper grammar for the most part.
*Other than the grammar thing, I consider myself to be pretty open-minded and accepting. I don't like conflict, so even if I don't agree with someone about something, usually I don't get into big arguments and try to convince people I'm right. I might engage in civil debates with thought-out points if it's something I'm passionate about.
*I'm a big advocate for LGBT rights, and I've recently become involved in my local community. So on occasion I'll post about things related to that. So if you're the least bit homophobic, this is not the journal for you. I'm also an advocate for women's rights and animal rights, though I'm not as personally involved in those.
*My journal right now consists mostly of my everyday life ramblings, a few fandom posts here and there, and the occasional meme when I'm bored. I like to engage in good conversation with people who take the time to comment, but it's not required. I'm mostly looking to meet people who I can connect to for more than just their taste in TV shows. :)
