Name: Sparkles. No, that's obviously not on my birth certificate...unless I had really interesting parents...but I answer to it very well. Probably even better than I answer to my real name...which is much less interesting. Which I'll tell you. If you REALLY want to know. And ask VERY nicely. :P Actually...if you wanted to know all you had to do was look at my icon. Now...how many of you actually looked at it after reading that? Brownie points to you if you noticed BEFORE I said anything.
Anyways...I never know what to write in these things.
I'm 22 and work in a grocery store. I read books like there's no tomorrow. They're like my crack and if I had the money I'd have no problem spending hundreds of dollars on them. Seriously. I can walk into a bookstore and easily spend at least $50...after spending over an hour picking up and then putting down multiple books because I can't make up my mind and damnit I just want them all. I'll read just about anything I can get my hands on. I have an extensive collection of trashy romances with Fabio-esque covers. Go ahead. You know you wanna say something. :P
I live in an apartment with a roommate and three cats. If I didn't think I'd get in trouble, I'd have lots more cats. I'm probably going to grow into a crazy old cat lady. I'm not allowed to go to the animal shelter by myself because I feel sorry for all the animals and try to take them home three at a time...no really. I did that once. Thankfully, it costs money to adopt, and I only ended up leaving with one flea-allergic cat missing half her fur that they let me take for free because she needed to get out of the shelter and into a place where it would be easier to control her allergies. Sucker? Yes. The roommate thing also means I may be prone to whiny sounding vent rants. But, I do love her and she's amazing and probably the best roommate I've had by far. And we have fish! With weird names. Beatrice Lorraine Tonstead III and Lucy are both male bettas. What can I say. They're gender confused. And Aphrodisiac, Aloyisus, and Ambidextrous are goldfish.
I seem to have a thing for needles even though I once locked myself in the bathroom at the dentists office because I didn't want a novocaine shot to get a tooth filled. I like to think of the tattoos and piercings as facing my fears.
I love Glee and NCIS and Bones. Actually, even though it's 2 AM right now, I'll probably watch at least one episode of Bones before bed, if not more. I'm addicted. Even though I'd never really seen it until a few months ago. I've got a LOT of catching up to do before season 7 starts!
I know, I didn't really put a list of likes and dislikes on here. But oh well. It's more fun if we don't have everything in common anyways, because then we have the chance to corrupt one another with new music tastes and whatnot!
If you haven't run away after reading all of my inane chatter add me! You've gotta be pretty brave. Once again, I point to my icon. If you ask the people who know me in reality, they'll tell you that I really do ramble in random incoherent trains of thought. My journal tends to be full of it. Whatever I happen to be thinking or feeling whether it be giddy or gloomy or philosophical, you'll see it. But hey...it keeps life exciting dontcha think? :D
