I'm 32 years old, brazilian, wiccan, married.... I consider myself very friendly and loyal.
I write about my day to day life... And like to read about other people's life. I love it when we can share experiences, learn and grow together.
English is not my first language, but I learned it by living in the UK as a kid and I don't really look at it as a foreign language. I live in Brazil now, so it's really rare that I actually get to speak English out loud. But don't worry, this is my "English-Only" LJ so you won't get posts you don't understand on your flist. It's not often, but I love it when I meet people who study Portuguese as a second language. I like to help those people when I can.
I had a very career-oriented job for 9 years, but the more I got positive feedback and promotions, the more they demanded of me. The overtime was piling up and I began to feel I was living for the job and not really living at all. An opportunity presented itself, and I quit my job to work with my family. It's stressful in a personal level, but I work very few hours now.
As for Interests/hobbies, I love TV, movies and Books! Mostly I stick to fantasy and Sci-Fi but it's not all I like. I will sometimes venture into other genres.
I studied Piano when I was younger, I love to play classical music on it. And I studied singing for almost 10 years, not classical in this case, but the regular kind of singing.
The top 12 TV shows I watch are Doctor Who, True Blood, Torchwood, V, The Vampire Diaries, Castle, The Big Bang Theory, Fringe, Glee,The Mentalist, Sanctuary, Supernatural.
Those are not all of them, of course! I'm really addicted to TV!
I loved the Harry Potter Books! And I'm still reading and enjoying Charlaine Harris' Southern Vampires.
I will sometimes read some classics. I loved Les Miserables... I love Jane Austen and Charlotte Brontë's Jane Eyre. Right now I'm mid-way through The Count of Monte Cristo.
I'm also reading A Discovery of Witches (by Deborah E. Harkness)... and loving it!
And I'm also reading a book about the Independence of Brazil.
I jump from one to the other when I get bored.
That's all I can think of right now. But we'll get to know ourselves better with time! ;)
