I'm pretty good to have on your Friends page because I post regularly--my journal is over eight years old now--and I vigorously shun loathsome topics like politics or current events. I address more important issues, such as why dipping Wendy's fries in a Frosty is not that good or the average number of roundhouse kicks in an episode of Walker, Texas Ranger. I also go on quite a bit about my ferocious bike rides around the Queen City and leisurely kayaking excursions on the mighty Niagara. Lately, there are a lot of posts about my training to become an EMT. To be honest, though, the most common thing you'll find in my journal is utter nonsense.
I'm not picky about LiveJournal friends, and I don't necessarily need anyone to be posting comments constantly. If you find something reasonably comment-worthy, go for it. If you comment on every post, I will get self-conscious, and I am very good at being self-conscious. I write mostly for myself, but I need to know that someone, somewhere is reading what I write, or else I'm just an idiot screaming into the void.
I guess it also helps if you put some thought and imagination into your own journal so I can be entertained when I click on my Friends page. If all you do is post memes, quizzes, and links, I will get bored and slap you.
Here is an MS Paint drawing of me.
