Unfortunately, I've lost a lot of comrades along the way. (ha) However, some of my longest Livejournal friends have become strong friends elsewhere. I value those relationships as much as the ones I've made outside of Cyberspace.
Some Things About Me: I'm 35 and a mother of two. My husband died in 2008. Sometimes I write about him, but not as much anymore. I'm trying to move forward with my life. My mother passed away in April from Leukemia. I write about her, too, but not always, (just when I feel I need to). Most of those things are under a filter or are private.
Otherwise, a lot of what I write is just brain-junk that accumulates over time. It includes my family, my children and my life. I've lived a lot of different places, and seen a lot of different things. I have few regrets.
I'm non-judgmental, but I also reserve my right to read what interests me. I respect people of all walks of life. I hope to get the same respect in return. I don't always comment, unless I feel the need. I also don't expect people to comment on every entry. Sometimes, comments aren't necessary and I don't feel the need to be constantly validated by them.
Most of my interests are on my profile page. I listen to a lot of different music, but I don't define myself by what's playing on my iPod at any given moment. I'm not a great cook. I love the Holiday Season from Halloween to Easter. I habitually mop my floors at night. I battle insomnia, mostly due to grief. I rarely post pictures. I love local music, and I still dance the night away when I can get away with it. It's rare, but it does happen.
Feel free to add me if you're interested. I miss having updated journals to read. (And please send me a message if you do!) Have a great week!
