* I am currently an undergrad college student and plan on graduating summer 2013!! :-) I will then continue on to graduate school and pursue a career in academic advising. I love helping people with their problems and dilemmas, and enjoy helping people find routes that will make their lives easier.
* I have a thyroid condition (Hoshimoto Thyroiditis) and I just found out I have also had PCOS for a very long time. This may sound odd, but I am so happy I can actually say I have these conditions. For years I have been going to different doctors, trying to find what is wrong with me. MOst of them said nothing. For the past two years I was diagnosed with a thyroid condition and have just recently reached a normal thyroid level thanks to medication. I feel fantastic and am so happy I can start "living"
* I LOVE to sing!!! Something about singing releases so much adrenaline that all stress just fades away. I have a karaoke room in my home, decked out with amps, speakers, microphones, a sound board, couches and a smallish flat screen. This room is by far my favorite room in the house!!
* Probably the most controversial topic is my family. I am 25, my fiance is 45, and my step-daughter is 16. This may sound odd, and to many, when they first hear this I definitely get the raised eyebrow, but it works. I get along very well with people who are older than me, and most of my friends are in their upper 30s/mid 40s. The friends I do have that are my age are very responsible and independent. I have been told I have a soul order than 25, and I have told my fiance he has a soul YOUNGER than 25 (haha!), so we meet in the middle ;-) I met my fiance when I was almost 19 and we were best friends for about 7 months before we began dating. We have our ups and downs, but doesnt every relationship? As for my step-daughter ... we are very very close. Her biological mother hasnt been much of a mother to her throughout her life, and I am most willing to be there for her. I consider her to be my daughter, and she has expressed that she sees me as her mom. We have established very good boundaries and structure to where she can feel safe and confident about the expectations in our home.
