Name: Alexandra, but you can call me Alex :)
Location: Sydney, Australia (well at least close enough to it to still be considered a suburb of Sydney...)
I'm a full-time student at the University of Sydney, doing a Bachelor of Science. At the current point in time I'm intending to do a double major in Chemistry and Molecular Biology. I only recently realised that I must have some fascination with the structures of life, and anything miniscule and abstract in general...
Personality? Well, I'm a little weird and strange. I'm also a pretty enthusiastic person most of the time, and I like to see things in a positive light. I'm a bit shy in person, but I'm sure you won't see that on LJ at all.
I'm also a dancer, having done dancing for at least 10 years. I do jazz, tap and hip-hop, and hopefully by the end of this year I'll be able to take a teacher's course in dance :D
I love to listen to music, verging from late 60s to today's music. My taste isn't that genre-specific either, although I do have a penchant for alternative, pop and k-pop: Coldplay, Bluejuice, Franz Ferdinand, Fall Out Boy, Beyonce, Bruno Mars, Adele, Sparkadia, Foster The People, Foo Fighters, Michael Jackson, Muse, Ed Sheeran, The Killers, Gym Class Heroes, Super Junior, Girls Generation, Split Enz, Crowded House, Fleetwood Mac, Kanye West
I enjoy both reading and writing. Whilst I've never completed a novel, I managed to exceed my personal best recently by getting over 28,000 words on a story :D As for my reading taste, recently I have been purposely choosing to read classics (I want to complete the list of '1000 Books You Must Read Before You Die'). But my favourites are not limited to classics: Harry Potter, A Series of Unfortunate Events, To Kill A Mockingbird, Catch-22, Lux The Poet, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (and the rest of the trilogy), Tintin, Asterix
Astrology is also a bit of a specialty of mine. I'm not sure if I believe in it, or if I just find it plain fascinating.
And for those who are curious, here's my taste in TV shows: The Big Bang Theory, My Kitchen Rules, X-Factor Australia, Downton Abbey, The Simpsons, Family Guy, Futurama, Whose Line Is It Anyway, Scrubs, Stargate SG-1, Bones
What I write about:
-Fun and hilarious times at university: Uni life is pretty exciting, although a bit stressful. After all, where else can you say that you saw a fireball and know that it was actually made on purpose?
-Random bits from pop culture which fascinate me - Youtube, news, celebrities
-Lots of music
-Strange sscenarios which I have imagined
