I'm on my way to being a quarter of a century old. (Saying that out loud sounds so much worse than it really is...) I work in a small town grocery store complete with lots of antics and gossip. And in about a month I will be living back with my parents again. Oh joy. Actually, it's totally my decision, and I *think* a good one. Considering I owe my dad a grand sum of $7,000 for things like helping me buy my car, it will be a lot easier to pay him back when I don't have a bajillion dollars in bills every month. Plus this whole thing is temporary. Like six months tops. There's a house I'm going to be renting, but my cousin lives there right now until the house her fiance is building is completed. So yeah. That gives me six months to pay off my debts! Did you need to know all of this when you don't even know me? Probably not. But that is what I do. I ramble. Incoherently I'm sure. If you decide you like me you'll be seeing this...a lot.
So...who am I? The fun stuff. Not the in debt, broke 20-something stuff.
I am a crazy cat lady. Or so I am told. I really don't think three cats counts as cat lady status. Romeo is 5, Gremlin is 4, and Imriel is almost 1. Brownie points if you know where I got the last name...without googling it. :P Which leads me to...
I am a complete book addict. In packing up my house I have over 20 boxes of books alone. I <3 books. Books are my crack. I have a horrible weakness for smutty books. Historical romances, rom com chick lit, paranormal romances. They're probably rotting my brain as we speak. I also love YA, urban fantasy, ummm...mostly fiction. My absolute FAVORITE series is the Kushiel books by Jacqueline Carey. Never have I been so completely sucked into another world. I love those characters as if I knew them personally. She's an amazing author. I also recently discovered Anne Bishop's Black Jewels trilogy. Which is another one I love because the characters felt as if they were people I knew. And Tamora Pierce has been since I was like 12, and will always be, one of my favorite authors. If it has her name on it, I will read it.
I also have a dog! See, not just a crazy cat lady. She's a little over a year old Australian shepherd x Mcnab. She's a super smart energizer bunny of a dog that I adore. Even if she has her bratty moments. She's also a boyfriend stealing traitor. :P I told my friend Kelli this and her only response was "At least you can say the girl who stole your boyfriend is a bitch...literally..." Her name is Cailee.
I don't really watch tv...because I don't have cable. But I'm horribly addicted to Bones and Once Upon a Time. So I try to never miss an episode of either one on hulu. I also really liked what I saw of Revolution. Mostly because I was always saying what would happen if we didn't have electricity anymore.
Music...love music. Pretty much any and all music. Yeah...you can tell I'm starting to run out of steam now. I think that's a sign I need to go drink more coffee. But that involves putting real clothes on and going to the store. No thanks.
What else is there? I've got an amazing boyfriend that I've only had for all of 3 months so if I babble a lot, I'm sorry. I try not to be one of those girls who constantly talks about her boyfriend and nothing else.
Although soon I hope to dye my hair! I was waiting on the colors to come in, but now I'm in my cousin's (the one on the left actually) wedding and I don't want "peacock" hair for that. Ok...more rambly back story. I have this customer who EVERY time he comes in tells me that my hair "looks so much better without that weird purple in it". Except it's been 2 years since I had purple highlights! I've gotten so sick of hearing it that because I miss my colors, my management doesn't mind, and I'm just to the point of being ridiculously spiteful...I'm going to do the top layer of my hair a coppery red with gold highlights, and then the underside of my hair is going to be a rainbow of purple, blue, and pink. Take that!
So yeah! Add me. :D
