I blog fairly frequently (at least 2 times a week) but when things get busy posting can get sporadic. I don't tend to comment but I do read everything.
I am pro-choice, I subscribe to the most basic interpretation of feminism i.e. equality for all women, not just middle class white women. I am interested in social issues and I keep up with current events. I enjoy reading when I have time; my favourite book of all time is Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov. Recently all I can handle are short stories due to time constraints; if anyone is wondering, a copy of Alice Munro's Lives of Girls and Women is sitting on my table but I have yet to open it. I've recently broadened my literature horizen and no longer limiting myself to classic literature i.e. Victor Hugo, Charles Dickens, etc. so any book recommendations are welcome. I promise I'll get to all the books I plan to read at some point.
School consumes my life; I'm at school 10+ hours a day and hardly have time for anything else. Day-to-day can be horribly boring but I try to make the best out of it. Sometimes talking about school triggers my anxiety so I refrain from speaking about school at all but most of the time I am coping well.
When I do have spare time, I browse the web, listen to endless acoustics/indies on 8tracks, watch old episodes of HIMYM, Big Bang Theory, and Community over and over again, and drool over food picture. I own more makeup and perfume than I should and I'm currently in the process of using up things. Hopefully in a year or two I can cut down my collection significantly.
Things I blog about:
- General makeup things: I do monthly empties posts, and random purchases.
- Classical music
- Day-to-day school life
- Occasional "content" post about issues I am passionate about (e.g. women's rights, politics, news, technology, etc.)
- Occasional relationship issues
Things I try to avoid reading:
- Fandom-related topics
- Children: I don't plan on having kids myself but I don't judge those who do/already have kids. I would just prefer to not read about them all day and be bombarded with baby pictures.
- Homophobia, sexism, bi-phobia, misogyny, hate speech
I'm a scaredy cat. I like bad puns. I prefer strawberry milk over coffee and tea. I bake whenever I can but never actually eat them all.
If you trudged through all that, and are still interested in adding me, please do leave a comment and let's see if we'll get along. I look forward to meeting some new people!
