My name is Nicki. I'm 27, and I live in South Carolina. I married my best friend on September 27, 2013, and although we are technically still newlyweds, it doesn't feel that way because we've been together for 150 years. (Okay, maybe only eight years. Close enough.) Our house is a bit of a zoo with four cats, two rats, two turtles, a corn snake, and a dog. I like movies and music and books, and I like to play video games sometimes (not as much as I used to.) I like to go on walks and take pictures, but I always forget to post them. I recently became a circulation clerk at an amazing library after spending almost 5 years in food services and hating every minute of it. I love my current job, even if it is a little bit boring sometimes.
Things you should know before adding me:
- I am a Christian, and I talk about it from time to time but never in a preachy way...I mostly talk about my struggles with finding a church or just...I don't know...things. I don't quote Bible verses or anything like that.
- I have tattoos. I don't know if that still offends anyone in this day and age, but I'm just putting it out there.
- I support the LGBT community and will not tolerate any kind of hate towards it. (Or any other group of people, for that matter. The LGBT community is the one that hits closest to home for me personally, but I believe in equality for all. Love each other, people.)
- I will read every single one of your posts, but I don't comment a lot. I comment if I actually have something to say. However, I have social anxiety disorder, which means I analyze everything I think about saying for an hour before I say it, and most of the time it ends up seeming like it doesn't need to be/shouldn't be said. I always warn people about this, and still, some are surprised and unfriend me when I don't comment on every post.
Andddd, here's a photo of my husband and me on Easter. It captures the essence of us so perfectly:
If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask. If you want to add me, go right ahead. I'll add you back as soon as I can. :)
