Hi-- I'm not new to LJ, but I've very recently decided to start over, as I realised I wasn't using my journal in a way that was beneficial to me. I want to use this account as a diary, properly: a place to post my thoughts and feelings, rather than all the boring details about day-to-day life. If you're interested in being along for the ride, please comment on my friends only post.

A little about me:
I'm not comfortable listing all my diagnoses in such a public place, but I'm a young girl (though 18+, if that's important to you) living with several mental illnesses. My perception of reality is not always what it "should" be, and so-- though I never lie-- you should know that I tend to speak in metaphors when I'm having difficulty communicating. I'm queer, pagan, and actively working to improve myself every day. Though I value my privacy a great deal (meaning you're not likely to see what I look like or be linked to my other social networking accounts), I crave deep, personal connections and I love learning about people from all walks of life.

Don't add me if you're not social justice friendly or if you use your journal for fandom things (obviously it's very okay if you do sometimes, I'm just quite the opposite so if it's the bulk of your posts, that's a dealbreaker). I'm much more comfortable with women than men, but if we seem to have a lot in common, it doesn't much matter.
