Hi! My name is Stray, I'm 22, and I live in the USA. I might tell you my real name at some point but I don't really find it important for people to know. I'm not new to LiveJournal, but this journal is. I joined LiveJournal in 2009 and grew tired of it for about two years. I'm not sure what made me come back instead of looking for another service. Welp.
I am a liberal arts college alumni who is currently building my job profile and making connections so I could start working. Woohoo! Honestly, I wish I could just stay home, listen to dubstep, play video games on a custom pc I built, watch random series on Netflix and never finish them, and just enjoy the small things about life. Simplicity.
I'm looking for friends who comment often. My journal feels lonely. Friends appear too busy to either comment on things I post or post themselves. We all have lives to live and sometimes things pop up unexpectedly. I want to make friends who know how to communicate those things, just so I don't think that they just gave up journaling altogether. Does that sound fair? I do really hope to find frequent users (maybe posting and/or commenting at least 4 times a week).
I enjoy writing creatively. On average I write about 3 poems a week. Recently I've started two mini projects in an effort to post regularly when I don't have anything from "real life" to post. One is called "random memory" and another called "simple joy." I have a few more ideas about small writing projects I want to undertake, but at this moment those are the two I've started. While we're on the topic of writing, I also pride myself on proper grammar, spelling, and limiting the amount of emoticons I use per paragraph - but that doesn't imply that I don't make mistakes. I appreciate when other users do the same, but that's just a preference and not a demand.
I hope you are accepting of sexuality and reading some entries that are sexual in nature. I find that the lack of intimacy between people nowadays makes interactions, well, flat and sterile. I want to connect with the person behind the screen, not just learn your hobbies or obsess over common fandoms together. I'm learning how to be comfortable expressing my affection and sensual feelings towards others, so if it feels like I'm flirting with you, I most likely am :P. If that turns you off, you shouldn't friend me.
I'm not much into politics or professional sports, though I enjoy being active by playing volleyball, frisbee (!), basketball, swimming, and biking. I much prefer discussing philosophies, spirituality, science, nutrition, love, sex, and art in general.
If you want to be friends with me, let's do it :).
