What I write about: I write a lot about my job. Before I started working, I wrote about going to school and classes. I write about personal issues. I post poetry occasionally. I do have another journal that consists of only poetry if anyone is interested in that. mypoeticjourney I want to expand the topics that I talk about on LJ as well and I am trying to open up to posting more public entries.
I may have posted on this community pretty recently but it never hurts to try again. I am nearly 35, my birthday is in October, which makes me a Libra. I am what they called on Seinfeld, a "man's woman." It wasn't until I went to school for my second degree that I really started opening up to women and have became close with them. In my earlier years, women or girls, had done me wrong. I've had the same best friend for 20 years. Yes, she's a lady... neither of us were able to understand other women very well for a lot of years.
I am an aspiring writer. I will never say anything else than aspiring because I will always aspire to be a better writer than I was the day before. People can always get better at whatever they choose to do. I've learned that on my journey to becoming a certified substance abuse counselor. I love movies and television, as long as the t.v. isn't reality. I have enough of my own reality to deal with without that fake stuff on television... I will say that the Osbornes was the only reality television show I ever had any interest in. I do like the home makeover shows and I get a kick out of the occasional bride buying their wedding gown. So, never say never... I guess.
I do spend a lot of time developing my faith. I am a Christian. I do not force my beliefs on others. If people have questions, I answer them but I don't feel it is my place to judge or criticize others. I do my very best to treat others how I want to be treated and let people see Jesus in me.
I've met a lot of really great people on LJ. Please feel free to add me if you would like. Shoot me comment or an email and I'll add you back.
