Hi everyone, I thought I would try posting here again trying to find some more journals to read since it has been a while and I just feel like making somewhat of a new start on this site.

A bit about me:

♥ 24 years old
♥ Female
♥ Single with no children/forever a cat lady for now (and okay with it)
♥ Living in NC for now but I don't see myself staying here forever (originally from NJ)
♥ I identify as liberal and agnostic but I don't let it define me or judge others for their beliefs. My philosophy is for the most part "respectfully agree to disagree."
♥ Currently working in a grocery store and working on getting back in school

Hobbies: watching movies/TV, reading, writing, self-improvement

Movies: Anything with Vivien Leigh, The Red Shoes, Badlands, A Clockwork Orange, Carnival of Souls, The Exorcist, Rosemary's Baby, The Shining, Eraserhead, Possession (1981), Hellraiser series (only the first two though)

Books: Any and all kinds; but the ones that have really had an impact on me as over the last few years are... Gone With The Wind (also 'unauthorized sequel' The Wind Done Gone), A Clockwork Orange, American Psycho, The Bell Jar, Ham On Rye, Prozac Nation, Girl Interrupted. A compilation of entries collected from journals Marilyn Monroe wrote in over the years called Fragments.
I also love to read books on topics like self-improvement and really anything else I can get my hands on. I sometimes have a problem with starting to read too many books at once and then never finishing them. I'm currently reading Dry by Augusten Burroughs. I'm more than halfway through and it's been difficult to read at times but I'm enjoying it overall.

Music: The Doors, The Velvet Underground, Joy Division, The Smiths, Nirvana, Mazzy Star. My favorite more recent musician would have to be Lana Del Rey. I saw her in concert this summer and it was an amazing experience.

Also, a disclaimer:

I'm going through a bit of a rough patch with my family (regarding physical health issues) and also have been struggling with my mental health as of late, so if you feel that is something you don't want to read about I'm just putting it out here. I also discuss using alcohol frequently in my journal, so if that's a topic you'd rather not read about I'm putting that here too. I basically write about however I'm feeling at the time, and that's not always easy to read, so if someone adds me and decides they want to part ways, I completely get that.

♥ Thank you to anyone who took the time to read this. I hope to enjoy meeting some of you.
