Back on Livejournal after years of being else where. Looking to meet some new people and I can't stand the formats of social media websites or places like Tumblr. I like a good comment thread where you can have a back and forth chat or a text chat, none of this silly reblogging stuff or pictures of little kids every where.
INTERESTS & HOBBIES: Horror movies, sci fi and fantasy novels, Dystopia, painting, model kit and diorama building, dogs, biology, evolutionary theory, mecha anime, manga, Monster collecting simulators, Vegetarian and vegan cooking, 3D sculpting, bad 90's TV series, B movies, dogs, chronic pain research.
I'm looking to make some new friends. I'm disabled so I spend a lot of time online and fondly remember LJ in the past and give it another go. When you spend months unable to do much but type it tends to be a bit less miserable with good company. Lifes just that little bit more fun when you have someone to laugh at the highs and the lows of it. I won't add people under 23 though, I'm old and creeky, young kiddy winks just make me feel creepy when they want to dicuss Pokemon Go and I'm sitting here playing Randomised Pokemon Silver remembering my childhood fondly. I also have a preference for people not in long term relationships, I want to interact with people here and respond to posts constructively, due to my health my life is vastly different from being married with a kid that I have no connection to that life style. I mean if I post how I'm reading a new book and I've been unable to move for a week seeing posts by someone talking how great their family is and how their new vacation is going to go doesn't really benefit my situation much. I consider it a healthy divide for all involved.
I'm a right wing libertarian who has no time for progressives or political correctness. I speak my mind and I don't censor posts. I know the community here is going to be mostly progressives so being blunt and saving everyone's time. I find politics interesting and will post about them occassionally but I can find arguments with liberals every where, so I'd rather avoid that on a personal blog. I have an extremely dark sense of humour, there is nothing I consider off limits for jokes, as I write this post I'm watching M.A.S.H. and laughing at a guy making jokes about dying in the Vietnam War and would consider that pretty tame. I'm old and I'm crippled, if I can't laugh at how terrible life is then who can? At least this way every mirror is a million jokes just waiting to happen.
