[misc] wtf mate?!

(no subject)

Hi all! Kasey here. 27, female, lover of all things baking, traveling, writing, and photography. I've posted here before several times and found quite a few gems, so I'd like to take another shot and see how many other friends I can hoard ^_^

A bit more about me - I'm kinda wacky. I'm really sweet, give great advice on almost any subject, but have a mean streak in me that results in me griping about my grody boss, snarking about the general population, and yelling at my dog when he's been bad, since I don't have the heart to do so when I don't actually catch him doing naughty things. Included in my list of interests and hobbies (beyond what I listed up top), I game, I cook, I read, I like to wander aimlessly in book stores, I like zoos, I love music, and am a big movie junkie. I get along with just about anyone, though I will be the first to admit that me + religious folks or me + drug addicts (of any kind) don't get along well. I try to see the best in everyone (not that either religion or drugs makes a person bad), but it doesn't always work out. Just a fair warning.

My posts include my 365 photo project, updates on my pending trip to Italy, gushing or griping about my fellow (I keep it to a minimum either way), gushing or griping about my adorable fuzzface butthead, musings, cooking endeavors (though I try to keep them short since I have a food blog), home improvement, and random updates about my life. Not the most exciting stuff, but that pretty much sums me up.

Hi :)

Helloo everyone! My name is Alissa. I am 22 and live in Canada. I have a very open mind and looking for some friends!

A little about myself:

I am unemployed as of right now - desperately job searching! I love everything and anything to do with horror. I like to play around with make up and costumes. I go to a lot of local band shows, I have a lot of friends in bands. I don't have a particular taste in music, I enjoy a bit of every genre. I LOVE animals, my house is like a tiny zoo with 2 dogs, 2 cats, 2 rats and a bird! I also play a lot of video games.

My journal posts usually consist of my daily life, make up stuff I've done or just random ramblings and pictures!

Anyone is welcome to add me!

Hello, I'm Crista. (I've posted before here before a long time ago)
I'm 20 and live in Canada. As a student in university, I hope to obtain a major in English (Literature or Language, I haven't decided yet) and hope to get into the publishing field. I'm Asian, living in a very "asian" city (once, my university was labelled "too Asian" and I wonder if I should be offended or admit it's the truth... heh) and my family is religious and I'm... well, I don't know what I am (I hardly talk about my religion anyway).

I'm in that in-between stage of life where I don't know what's going on, my opinions on things change rapidly (especially my obsessions - huge emphasis on that) and I'm very easily influenced. I like to think I'm open minded, but in truth, I just don't know much about anything so I'm very happy to learn and understand new things.

I started being active on livejournal in September of last year and I've got to say, I'm very glad I started again. I learn a lot from the friends I've made on here and I've never been so active in my writing as I am now.

I'm a writer and a reader who needs inspiration to write and very prone to bouts of writer's block. I do write slash fanfiction as well as original fiction so there will be posts like that. I love to hear critique about my writing because I want to improve my writing and expand my abilities.

My entries usually consist of my daily life. I tend to write long entries and use a lot of sarcasm and swearing. If you want eloquence... well.. sorry! I do refrain from using the f-word and save it for very very very angry moments. But I have a rule: if I'm still angry about something after a day, I'll write it. If not, it won't make the journal. I like to keep my journal free of impulse-emotional outbursts. I'll mention it briefly maybe. And I ramble onto tangents very easily (as demonstrated in the first paragraph).

I love watching movies and TV. I love talking about character development and plot lines. I love arguing about it even more. Some shows I watch: Grey's Anatomy, The Big Bang Theory, Sherlock, Game of Thrones, How I Met Your Mother, Glee and Jersey Shore (yes... I like it to a point where I'm a fan and not a hater.)

I read books: Harry Potter, The Hunger Games, The Enemy by Charles Higson. I like post-apocalyptic and dystopian books which is the trend nowadays among teens. I'm even writing something about a zombie infested city.

I definitely don't expect comments every entry. I do eventually read every entry, just very slowly and I'll be honest: I'm a horrible at commenting consistently. I'll pop up here and there.

My journal is mostly friends only but I public certain entries for discussion. Have a look and if you like what you see, feel free to add and comment to let me know. I'll definitely add you back.

Looking forward to getting to know a few of you!

Hi :-)

So, here I am. I was a member of livejournal many years back in my angsty teenage years and have decided to return. I deactivated my facebook account because I was really tired of everything it stood for. I have only one entry so far, but I promise there should be some juicy stories on there in no time... so goes my life. I am in graduate school for art (photography/video) and am enjoying it... mostly.

I'm really nice and a genuinely optimistic person... however, be warned that I am going through some difficult things, so some posts might not be so pleasant. I love meeting people. :-)

I have two cats and they are the bomb. I live alone so they keep me company. I am a borderline cat lady. ;-)

I am trying to learn guitar... and piano. I am currently on a "Lost" binge on Netflix. My artwork takes up most of my time. I love to read. I love to sit outside and drink beer and have good conversations with people.

Does that say enough? I feel like I'm bad at this. Anyways, add me if you wish! I'd love to meet people on here. :-)

Happy Pinkie says hi

*extends friendly hoof*

Hand, hoof, whatever. I hardly know what my limb is called anymore! XD

So! It has been a while since I posted in here, so I figured I'd start off with a little bit about myself. I'm a unemployed yaoi fangirl about to celebrate not only her birthday but also move on to grad school to get a degree and hopefully also a certificate to work as a speech pathologist (my dream is to work with kids with speech problems, even though I'm not planning on having them! ^^;).

Most of my entries will be about school and real life, but of course, my journal wouldn't be complete without a dash (perhaps more than that) of fandom related things, which can be skipped over pretty easily assuming you know how to skim when appropriate rather than read every. single. word. Because gosh, who wants to do that?

Let's just do the Lazy Friend Making approach now and list some interests of mine:

- Animals. (I love them, if they're not the creepy crawly kind) Obsessed with cats and partial to dogs, and hopes to have a kitty soon.
- My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic
- TV Shows (Big fan of: Stargate and Stargate: Atlantis, Animal Planet shows, Power Rangers/Super Sentai, Kamen Rider)
- Food (Bacon, cheese, sausages, Chinese...I could eat anything, really, as long as they aren't sour, bitter, or mushrooms.)
- Music (If I don't go on Youtube to listen to a song at least once a day, I don't know how I could survive. XD)
- Disney movies (Favorites include the Lion King and Bambi.)
- Am I missing anything? XD

Bottom line is, I'm pretty awesome and harmless. Worst I could do is infect you with ikemen-itis, causing you to flail over drop dead gorgeous Asian actors and become rabid yaoi fans too, so come and check my profile and journal out, see if it's your cup of tea. :P
