I'm a freelance makeup artist and writer with a steady job as the assistant editor for my university newspaper, though I'm looking into getting a part-time job at a makeup counter. I still live with my mom but I'm scouting apartments. I don't drive. I have several chronic and mental illnesses (anxiety, bipolar, migraine, and diverticulitis to name the major ones) that caused me to take some extended time off of school. I started back up again last fall and got involved in some extracurriculars and made some amazing friends (somehow).

I'm constantly going through a period of trying to find myself. So far what I've found out is:

I love photography. I love capturing something beautiful to look at forever and I love to share these beautiful things with others. It's just a hobby and I don't think it involves talent on my part-- just noticing that something is wonderful to look at and wanting to see it for years to come.

I love reading. Some of my favorite books are Girl by Blake Nelson, Prozac Nation by Elizabeth Wurtzel, Virgin Suicides by Jeffery Eugenides, the series A Song of Ice and Fire by GRRM, the Harry Potter series, and Wicked by Gregory Maguire. I love film and television and getting sucked into these new a different worlds.

I love film and television, and letting myself get sucked into another world. Some of my favorite films are Labyrinth, Breakfast at Tiffany's, Moulin Rouge, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Lost in Translation, Marie Antoinette, Casablanca, and The Children's Hour. I also love horror movies; my favorite villains are Michael Myers and Chucky. My favorite television shows are Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Firefly, Pretty Little Liars, Supernatural, Veronica Mars, The O.C., One Tree Hill, Doctor Who, and Skins.

I watch birds, drink tea and coffee on my front porch, wear leggings and skinny jeans even though I'm fat, wear glasses by the Ernest Hemingway brand, read tabloids, write poetry, have a fluffy mean cat, shop too much for my own good... I'm can't promise to be interesting, but I can promising that I'm nice and caring and honest, and use "and" more than is necessary even though I'm an English major.

So would you like to be friends?
